Imagination's Fear
Birds will keep on singing
I won’t hear their song
Bells will keep on ringing
they will seem all wrong
The sun will go on shining
its warmth I will not feel
Stars will shine at night
I won’t believe they’re real
Tides will guide the waves
That wash up on the shore
I’ll no longer walk the beach
Like we once did before
My pen will not touch paper
Watermarked by my tears
Poetry will not bloom again
As I live out my earthly years
So never let me go my love
Don’t ever let us drift apart
I give my love to you forever
Snuggled safetly in my heart…
