The poem speaks for itself, how long will the civilized countries of the world stand by and watch another civilized nation destroyed?

When Is It Our War? By: Felix Perry We sat back in comfort and watched Armed soldiers illegally marching in We offered sanctions, prayers, sympathy After all, this is not our war to win We watched schools and hospitals hit Rained upon with hell-fire in the night Women and little children slaughtered Sad but still, this is not our war to fight We seen cowards, we seen heroes rise As we all ate our suppers, safe and dry Shook our heads and said our prayers We’re told ours is not to wonder why We sit back and watch history repeat Thinking that it won’t reach our door We ignore the children cries, go to bed Turn off the light, it’s not our war…

I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this one Ronald as more and more people die senselessly by the hands of a dictator who is just as bad as Hitler and is using the same reasoning to take over as much of the world as he can. I fear nuclear strikes as well as you do but we cannot be blackmailed by that threat forever. Do you honestly believe that if the Ukaraine falls he will stop there? As a Canadian it concerns me as well that the Russians are also on our borders and with the opening of the Arctic and the North West Passage open year round...what's to stop him from moving on us...only the fact that big brother (USA) is there to stand up for us. So sorry on this one we will have to, as I said earlier, agree to disagree.

The best way is already happening. By financially crippling Russia, we make Putin and all of his armies weak. Soldiers from all over the world, including Canada and United States are arriving in the Ukraine to help out. Munitions and weapons, funneled through Poland, Romania and Finland are arriving undetected even by news sources to aid the Ukrainians in their determination to fight. The Ukrainians have already proved their ability to fight the Russians. With our help they can drive the invaders out.

The best course is not to involve NATO unless Russia steps over that line. Ukrainians are not being slaughtered, but the vulnerable are getting out of the country and welcomed by other former Soviet republics that don't want the same thing that happened to them before happen again. That's why they are in NATO.

The concern right now is chemical weapons and the "limited" nuclear strike. Both in the free world and in the former Soviet world, nuclear weapons are aimed at major metropolitan centers and the loss to the world of a nuclear exchange nearly automatically set off by a tyrant's illogical mind would be unfathomable.

At no time since the Cuban Missile Crisis have we been so close to nuclear war. We cannot even escalate it to a conventional war with the destruction power available in armies the world over today. Especially the United States arsenal. Care before action is absolutely necessary.
