Many years ago, friends gave us a new angel for the top of our Christmas tree . Her beauty inspired me to write this simple little poem . Unfortunately I do not have A picture of her now . I hope this clip art picture will be alright.
Little angel on the tree
top. Oh what joy your
presence has brought.
Your dress is made of satiny
silver and white, and from
behind your wings shines a
bright light.
The light is as radiant as
can be, and you add a special
brillance to our Christmas tree.
We thank you for making our
tree the best by far,and being
as special as we think you are.
Beautiful write...angels are a great inspiration, whether they are ceramic or mystical...a great inspiration. I love ornaments that people give to me, through the years I have collected an ornament for my children, one each year, and now for my grandchildren and from my students over the years...my tree is getting quite crowded...but I can't bare to part with any of them, I am either going to have to put up more trees, buy an even bigger tree which would mean expanding my living room, ah...I will worry about that next year...for now I am enjoying being able to share the stories behind each ornamant with my friends and family. Great write.
