I love to hear the church bells echoing across the country side on Sunday mornings. This is a picture of the church my mother and grandparents went to in Vermont. I went there a few times also when I was young.
Church bells ring through
the countryside inviting all
to come and worship
where peace and love abide
Hearts rejoyce in prayer
and song as music fills the air
Sweet refrains of age old hymns
bring hope, take away dispair
A message from our Pastor,
gives renewed spirit to greet
the new day and stays with us
as we go along life's unending way
May God's love light your way
on this blessed Easter Day
I have not heard church bells in quite some time. I used to hear them often in the small village where we lived when I was a child. Lovely offering, MaryGrace. Love and blessings,
