The Romantic, Sexy Bible (Part 1)

According to the Bible (NIV) Songs of Solomon is a poetic wedding song that honors marriage. God created sex and intimacy for a reason and it’s not to be exploited. A husband and wife honor God when they love and enjoy this intimacy with one another. This book in the Bible is about a simple maiden and Solomon (the king). The setting is Israel and its purpose is to describe the love between them and God's love for all.

2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth—
for your love is more delightful than wine.


3 Pleasing is the fragrance of your perfumes;
your name is like perfume poured out.
No wonder the young women love you!


4 Take me away with you—let us hurry!
Let the king bring me into his chambers.

 

 

Is this a romance made in heaven contained in a deep love letter?

 

Can this romance grow closer? Can this romance get any better?

What God intended for man and wife is indeed beautiful and sensual and is meant to be exclusive between just the two partners. Songs of Solomon so exquisetly tells us of this love. Thanks for the reminder, John.
