I have been with AD for over 12 years. The other day, I scanned many authors' reviews on AD. The poems were excellent, but the reviews were few. So, I wrote some words about the reviews in the past and present. That's my present view. How about you?

It's important to get feedback.

THIS SHARING IS ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT, JOHN! INDEED, IT STARTS WITH OBEYING THE WORD OF GOD, NO MATTER HOW WE FEEL. I LOVE IT AND THANKS SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS KEEPER. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
I am learning that the Lord gives us each individual trials of testing our hearts, and our faith. He looks at our hearts even in a unsavory situations & circumstances to see how & who we really are. Loving people who are mean for example (full of that jealousy & hate exc.) seemed like such a bizzare thing to me before being reborn, as I didn't understand the gravity of it all. Mercy is such a profound gift of love, and forgiveness. Mean people are miserable inside cause they need the Lord. So I try to see them as infants having a temper tantrum. (love thy neighbor) And let me tell you I am one with a quick wit for sarcasm to mean people because I am also a very outspoken personality. It can be challenging too in "wanting" to love people who are brass & rash & seemingly ignorant-but I feel the awesomeness of a mercy grow inside of me each time I encounter someone having a bad day & I handle the test through the Eyes Of Christ. Then I receive a blessing for it! The Lord is so Amazing.

It is easy to hide in your home and not seek out your neighbors or the people we sit next to everyday at work. I find when we reach out and share something, or take the time to give, we see the face of Christ in their smile. Loving your neighbor teaches us, it is in the giving of yourself, that you are rewarded the gift of love. You get more out of it than that neighbor when you act on this action.

I tried this years ago and found that it got easier each time.... even with the unlovable. Anyone can do this if they just keep at it! Wonderful poem; you wrote it well.
This is a very beautiful poem! We really should love our neighbors as ourselves and that doesn't mean the neighbor next door but anyone we meet. Thanks for sharing such a lovely poem. I love the picture! Blessings to you John! :)
I dropped my AD subsription because of reviews. Some reviewers did not commment on syntax or form, but instead they objected to my views on the subject matter of the content or ideas I was writing about. These negative and non constructive reviews were not what I needed as a fledgling poet.
I still follow a few contributors such as your self who I followed while I was an AD member.
Facebook happened and became a better place for people to share gossip and promote whatever they wrote. So many thought they would be able to become famous or at least well-known work and found that just didn't happen.
And so many other websites came into being felt they could also work better on. Some authors, especially after the pandemic, found that they could pay the membership fees. Remember, the site was originally free and appears to be free now.
At least three of those I see above still pose rather irregularly and sometimes comment. after so long, Some of them have probably just shut off this mortal coil.
One author who I lost touch with over 15 years ago has recently contacted me and showed me his new music website. He is a novelist and also posting his music comes first.
The history of four terrorist organizations in the Balkan and a general introduction to terrorism and freedom fighting. Also includes essays about religious co-existence in the Balkan and about pathological narcissism as a precursor to terrorism.
