In Yidish language it is "schelcheltrer"
said losely after a departed lover.
Schelchel meaning a cup or a little vessel, Trer for tears.
They said it once, a long long ago, that to mourn the death of love one needs a cup for tears a "schelcheltrer"
Not being jewish but very young I didn't understood it...now I do.
Schelcheltrer means, losely, a cup of tears in Israel,
referring to the vessel receiving of a broken love
the inconsolable soul its wrenching tears,
the warm and humid sorrow, falling down.
If someone tells you anytime of needing one...
a heart got suddenly empty, that's because,
a tenderness belonging only to you has died
making your heart to wither and get so lost...
When the last kiss you will try to remember,
you will find that such a kiss are no more,
the only thing left will be to hide your face
and use the cup for tears when you are alone.
You touched me with this beautiful poetry and the lesson for I have been reading in Psalms and of David he said the Lord gathered every tear through out his life and keeps them... This reminded me of Davids tears and the Lord.

I page marked this back in 1996 when I found it in an old book of memories--got the book at the Book Rack for $2 and found when I got home that half of the pages were missing..but I still enjoyed what I did find..and this poem or quote made an impression on me..
A very Interesting story I have never herd
It sounds kind of like an urn only this is for
Tears and is bottomless, Wow I find this poem to be very sad
