Heartfelt write Georg
Reminds me of the First Iraq war
where CNN showed the Enemy
surrendering by the thousand
And the conscripts kissing
The american officer's hands
some humbly crying,
that seen broke my heart.

Peace Brother

So many thoughts come to mind...like when I spank my toddler for doing wrong and he cries, now, making me feel bad for him...
or when I put insecticide on a wasps' nest, knowing too they don't have a chance in the world...to be overpowered, hurts, not only physically but within...War, regardless of the outcome...hurts on both ends...win or lose, we lose bits of some things, even more...
Compassion enters and we open ourselves up to the vulnerabilities...Are we willing to take the chance? Are we that cold to fire the first shot, or studid enough to make mountains out of mole hills? Thought-provoking Haiku, Georg~ You got me going in so few words!
Love and Peace~
