This one is for Mr. Ed and his Animals Day, and that the human heart can shed a little of love to all the creatures that the only thing they ask is that we don't be cruel to them.
When I look up to the skies
infinite space is all I can see,
with clouds like white angels,
the sky’s freckles are the birds.
After rain and before sun down
a multicolor rainbow I can see
and get the perfume of wet earth
and the last calls among the trees.
From the window the world is there
how it looks like…I wish could see,
my singing isn’t a happy one for you,
it is the crying of a caged bird.
A beautiful write, love the imagery within this one! A fine offering that I am sure Mr. Ed enjoyed as well as all the other readers.
Blessings,
Joyce B.
'the perfume of wet earth' is priceless...
nothing sadder than a caged bird; we humans overstep far too often.
always enjoy visiting your den, georg!

Most times animals are more honorable than people which is probably why I love them so much. A beautiful write Georg PLB&G for caring and sharing. <Mikii>
Thanks Georg. the animals are remembered here everyday...figs abound on the tree in the yard at this time...for birds, squirrels, and myself. The daily task of bird feeder filling and shelled peanuts for the bluejays...leaves no caged bird in my heart.

It's Sunday today, and I am on the way, some happiness I pray, some of my bounty to defrey, there is TErra a friend I made and Sam and ... and then my little Angelface a bird and others chipmonks etc... Enjoyed your write George
An armadillo has burrowed a hole behind
One of my bushes, out of sight fron the public
My wife wants me to do something about it
What can I do?
distroy its home, poison him? I asked her
we are the intruders of his and of other's domain
I'll do nothing of a kind
I shall allow him to reside next to me
for I am honored he has slected my property
To share is domain with
The burrow is is still there
out of sight and untouched by me.
I am looking for a name for my new found friend
Am I doing the right thing?
I think so, they dine on earth worms, termites, ants
God knows what other pest they'll rid me of
The way I see it, he's doing me a solid,
without me ever bothing to ask him.
For my friend that share my proerty
peace be with you
Thank you for the dedication, my friend, and for the mention of Animal Day.
They truly do ask so little of us, and if many more human hearts could be just a little less cruel to them, theirs would be a much brighter world these very sad days.
When two men hit the reset button and decide to go out looking for the good in the world, they not only find it but also a lot more.
