Long ago, when I first where in Tinka's bio page I felt it, like I felt in China looking into the Golden Buddha's eyes, they didn't looked back at me, those eyes where making a question and I got lost for words, because the eyes were supposed to be answering me.
Then, time passed and Tinka buried her question about what I saw in her eyes well inside a review,thinking that maybe I wouldn't notice or hoping that I didn't.
If I am wrong I am very sorry, if I am right so the title should had been Tinka's Enigmatic eyes...
It’s like looking a two mirrors
that are looking at each other,
one reflecting the achievement
the other, that of the abolisher,
one image is firm with eyes
saying I wouldn’t give an inch,
the other are pleading with you
“you like what I have achieved?”
Conflicting images, blending on
each other, one asking if she should,
with the other in front, protecting
for all she desperately could
the one with the little girl inside
that wished she hadn’t grew up,
because that world around her shows
many things but no one is love.
Like everything else, the mirror
shows two sides of the same coin,
the left with the attentively eyes
searching for anything that comes
to possible hurt the one on the right
like a tigress does with her cub;
alarm in one’s eyes we can see, the
other waits for approval when we look.
The defense of one that’s been hurt is
the evolution into an unseen chameleon
from a butterfly that only know the net
chasing her to someone’s collection;
in the mirror of everyday we can see
confusing two images just one reflection,
a shy maiden behind the inquisitive but
strong Joan D’Arc wearing her armour.
Please, can the real Tinka Boukes
not hide anymore and stand up?

Ah Tink, She's a China Doll, fragile in many ways, is apt to break, but, the beauty and strength within is there for the astute to see, without a doubt. A wonderful tribute to a wonderful person, who I hope see's and feels her greatest hearts desire in this life.

Georg...geeeee....you took the wind right out of my sails today!!
I think you did a fine job in reading of who I am through my eyes!!
Someone who wears a mask at all times ...to protect myself from from myself...and the cruel world out there!!
Me the one and only “Tinka Boukes” is a housewife, mother....and a granny for three weeks now.
I loves nature and has a free spirit that can move from
one emotion to the next in a heartbeat.
I have a very good sense of humor....once you know me well enough to win my trust.
But when it comes to the heart I is very true in my love.
I now share my deepest feelings that was tucked away for many-many
years.
And by the grace of God had found the power and will only five years ago to pen them down...here at Authorsden. It became the only
way of expressing my deepest fears, thoughts and heartaches.
By writing them down....it made it much easier to handle on a daily basis.
My only hope in life is to know true happiness before I die...and to experience true love!!

I think you and I must be looking at Tinka through the same pair of eyes. I only "know" her through her poetry, and agree with George Carroll's assessment of the real Tinka.

Splendid poem and question. Tinka has many shades some dark some blue some yellow and some purple but she is a rainbow that arcs the sky and leaves us breathless.

A beautiful caring compassionate write about a dear soul here at the Den. Tinka speaks opening about herself, her feelings, her weaknesses and so on , yet there is a side of Tinka she keeps well hidden. I take my hat off to her! Blessings Georg, love Holly

Very insightful, my friend, but I think both sides are the real Tinky, who many of us here in AD know and love. And I truly believe many have more than one side. I always tell Tinky that she has to let her Pinky Happy Tinky out more often.
