After Halloween...a slurp

Everybody talking about everybody and they forgot about me, even that animal lover PeeWee Ed howled my ears off without a single glance my way, so, this the way I felt...

Poem Artwork

I am Rufuz, looking kind of bewildered
at the two legged creatures prancing
breathlessly for any a good reason
shouting "lets go Dancing! Dancing!"
I should so lick myself a little more
this so called Belle’s Ball’s boring!!!

The Elder Vampire flapped around,
“a bone, who wants one” he was saying,
alerted I saw no bone anywhere
but an old fool with a cape flying
toward any maiden coyly running away
but really no one of them was trying.

Ed from Jersey, my dearest daddy
was slumped somewhere, “joining”
as he called the disgusting art of
rolling dry weed and puff smoking,
making the air around me so heavy
that seeing poodles in heat I begin.

PeeWee is the one with the cheese,
a Werewolf he is dreaming to be,
he howls at the moon and scares out
of his wife, brothers and neighbors wits,
while I get off his way to go chasing
my own by Ed’s smoke create vermin.

I saw one of the maidens with red head
looked she was of the Ball the Queen,
like a juicy steak in front of my nose
my tongue hanging out, that was meat!
maybe she wouldn’t notice if I go
and take of that burning roast a bit?

Annie Temptress is going aimlessly around
wearing very deep cleavage, down to here,
which the two legged camouflaged men
seems like moths to a flame attracted to be,
by “what wonderful miracles!” they said,
they don’t looked so wondrous to me.

A guff of air was moving from here to there
I saw no one moving and it gave me the creeps,
until I caught on about William D’Artagnan
as invisible man had come looking for an orgy
as he was pocking the maidens with his sword
extracting high pitched and delighted screams.

A Black Widow hanging from the ceiling
to my chagrin I happened suddenly to see,
she was looking for some flesh on to land
someone too busy “doing” to her notice
pumping venom on unsuspecting victims
like it wasn’t tomorrow on Halloween.

A little Cherokee Princess missed my tail
for the proverbial hair to go stepping
she was gunning for that cavorting Elder
with dark thoughts for the double crossing
that had smuggled a southern belle beauty
for an all nighter inside her own teepee!

Stormy Lady was the provider of thunder
accompanied with flashes of lightning,
“to make a sulphur atmosphere” she said
with that kind of witchy cackling laughing
that put all my hairs up on ends like a brush
and a very cold hand going down the spine.

Well, that crazy people are gone now,
of the next Ball would you believe talking!
I should lick my self a little more, witches
but not my kind of bitches, it was boring,
Tricks of Treats, Oh they had a Ball!!!
I was left to chew one of those “joining”

Chewing my dog does on my hand,
To the music of the dead band,
He won't let me up stand,
Oh Rufuz, dear Rufuz, help me get home,
I have smoked and drank so lovingly grand...e (& Rufuz)

Poor, Poor Rufuz - having to put up with the disgusting doings of my two brothers. Next year, I'll take him with me to howl at the moon, and scare people, and he'll have a really dog gone good time!

Rufuz, you old dog. Now, why didn't you invite some of your friends and have your own doggie ball? I hear tell, you can really "shake a leg!" Too late now, gotta wait til next year.

Poor baby. :( Two leggeds don't know how a dog feels: you've given loneliness a voice. Well done.

Sorry about scaring you with my thunderings and lightenings. Get carried away, especially at Halloween Balls. Nothing but sunny days for you from now on, okay?

An excellent write, thanks, Georg, for the nod. :)

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Your poem is humorously precious. I laughed all the way through it. We've all heard the expression, "I wonder what he (a dog) would say if he could talk?" Well, you've given voice to old Rufus, and what a voice he has!
