If you have love you aren't lost.
If you have a mother you aren't lost.
If you have a friend you aren't lost.
If you have happiness you aren't lost.
If you haven't anything of the above...
you are lost.

Poem Artwork

A humble grain of sand in a vast desert
that even wind storms are going to ignore,
just a little grain of sand among so many,
is a wonder it will be called with a word.

Will no get wet if rain comes, will only
feel the vanishing weight of a rain drop,
which it wasn’t meant to calm its heat
or covering with ice on a winter’s cold.

Eyes of vultures wouldn’t possible see
that little grain as they fly well above,
or that of a in panic running away lizard
nor the watchful ones of a hunting scorpion.

Inside a handful, it will be just another one,
nobody will cared if it leans out and fall,
it will not be missed by one or by so many,
a piece of sea bottom that the seas forgot.

They said, not two grains of sand are alike,
like a man, or a woman, when they are born,
they will disappear in a multitude of giants,
because they were born to be…utterly lost.

I saw this up on the right side (Screen) found it and then lost it and had to sign it again! Sure glad I did!
LOST!
Think of it as a mind of absence Georg! A temporary one at that!
Your poem touched me and made me think, as you often do!
It's been awhile, I need a Georg Fix!
I plan to stay awhile today, no work today...
This was intense with much feelings througout!
BE happy within, it there a happiness will begin!
No two grains are the same, and your heartfelt writes prove it!

Absent? Yes. Lost? I don't think so: as long as there is memory, there are found. :) When you write about them, they become forever, never forgotten. Beautiful, Georg.

You give us much to ponder Georg! A superb provocative poem that you write so well! Yet is anything Creator made ever really lost?
I wonder...

As the many who have come before us and roamed this earth, we too will become nameless and fall through the cracks of time. What a wonderful and meaningful write this is....

Be safe,

It seems the way of the world Georg, three or four generations from our death will anything of us remain in anyone's memory? An impressive write.

Absent but never lost!
Truly brilliant words and very sad
I understand but not always true
I don't Have a mother and never even met my father
but I hold on to each grain I do have
It's important they make you feel complete
And friends like you make me feel not lost
Brilliant write and what I gather from this poem
Is losing a grain can make you feel lost in
And incomplete
Love Peace and hugssss...to you .....Morning Star

It's feeling of belonging to another grain of sand or sands and being so acknowledged by love, but sometimes we forget that higher love, that of the maker of each grain of sand, who loves us all!
You have reached deep into the well of human feelings with inspired poetry my friend, Bless You! Jasmin Horst

Misplaced maybe but never lost. This reminds me of the axiom that if you move one grain of sand on a beach you change the course of mankind. I don't know about that, but it could be so.

what I get from your words here is how important we can be as a whole and our possible need for each other in our existence of something, anything or just by being.... or we are just nothing left alone & unnoticed, but truely of value as a unity & whole
but still alone of great importance to the whole package
