Magical compendium, the forest,
shedding leaves like pages of a book,
and among them and old oak tree
wearing someone names in a heart
looking more like a hasty crook.
But we were lovers then, who cared,
how that carved little heart of ours
which your delicate fingers drew
and my pen-knife cut, we didn’t cared
how to any by passer would it look.
You asked me in that summer night
if I could bring down to you the moon,
after my arrow had pierced the heart
of a sun falling in red far and beyond;
the answer only could be, “of course.”
Then, through your body, impertinently,
a cold breeze produced a little shrug,
the skin of your arms went goose pimple
my jacked over your shoulders I put
letting my arms to stay around all of you.
The fingers of Selene lighted your eyes
as your face, to kiss me, was rising up,
the shadows parted in that little knoll
where we were embracing each other,
enveloping our beings, a lover’s cocoon.
We didn’t want a summer morning, nor
to open the eyes and see Selene gone,
the naked skin, warming with new day
and covered with predawn dew drops,
melted together with passion once more.
We never parted, that, we never did,
you was my dream and I was yours,
night was that mystic moment for,
when I felt inside you all the warmth
which I will ever need, until I am gone.
