A few men on Easter came and went from Jerusalem, they said they found nothing, they weren't blind, they were just not looking...
Hey, shoes! Don’t complain so much
it is me being carried away by them…
and it is a long way before we can see
the dusty walls of my old Jerusalem.
They told me that a new King was there
and that the old king having a problem
accepting another one near his throne
would declare the new one for an infidel.
Coming to the city from the south portal
found that it was empty, like a big fest
had packed the main street with people
circus was in town, was what I guessed.
Following against the returning current
to a place they called the Calvary I went,
I couldn’t believe so much excitation,
from three small thieves barbaric death.
It called my attention the crying women
prostrated below the cross of one of them,
badly beaten yet talking to the above skies
despite of the nails piercing and mayhem.
I kept going, I saw no new King, but soldiers,
wailing women and a dozen of coward men,
as leaving the city with hunger in my belly
thirty silver coins I found under a hanged man.
I know…I know, why to keep going in search
of a chimera of a dream of a King’s descent,
when my feet, indefatigable walking to nowhere,
in the Holy City found nothing…and just went.

Walking, searching but looking in all the wrong places and expecting to see that which is not there. They should have been seeing with their heart and mind, rather than their eyes. Spiritually wonderful piece....
Nothing new on the western, - ah easter nnnn front font, many wearing out good shoe leather, and are starved like you! Wonderful Easter writhe my friend! Jasmin Horst
I normally do not review "religious works" for personal reasons but as I continue to study the history of religions, for example I am reading The Hiram Key at present, this write was fascinating. It gave a depictation that even an agnostic like myself could appreciate.
Thank you Georg

This is a most inspiring poem for today, Good Friday. So often we don't see our King, despite Him being right in front of us. My friend, you have a beautiful heart and soul!
Georg - One of your best yet. I like the way you wrote this Easter poem without falling into the traps of sentimentality and cliche. I like the way you let the events speak for themselves. Enjoyed it very much. - David
