self-destructing societies seems to be the topic today. Had to click on this one after reading so much ancient history for my novel. Good choice of images: who but the men of the B.C. would have known destruction so well as you point out. Who but the "Children of Poseidon" in the fabled Atlantis would have witnessed it. A good poem and a good idea...
good writing, Michael

You are standing on the summit of tower of Babel my friend, and have united all understanding in the human heart, surpassing dialects at the summit. You have wiped Poseidon's tears. Bless you! Jasmin Horst
Good Morning George,
I have wondered about our planet being a huge grave yard with all the centuries that have past. Your words are of spiritual pursuits & I enjoyed as always your wisdoms of your poetic pen!
Your words are very true, We are our own self destruction through many facets of the word as in envy, hate, greed all the heartless theft of love & kindness & generosity & more important acceptance of our differences & perceptions of all things.
Have A Lovely Day
& No Bones About It You Are A Masterful Poet!!

We have certainly been led away from the righteous path...even the path of common sense!
Your true voice shines brightly in this poem, Georg. We need more poets to speak out this way. THANKS

Riveting words of wonder and awe at man's dissappointment in man. If we cannot find ways to respect each other than the God's can never be respected either. Well done my friend.
man has become its own self destructive tsunami...
How so sadly true, brother. And these sad days, I now often wonder if this has been mankind's pre-ordained destiny, or if we could have traveled a much brighter, and a much better, path.
