Drown that love

Words will never heal the wound, tears never will wash the blood nor a hug full of warmth will calm down the pain.
When you are utterly alone, seeing hope floating away after drowning, love like a piece of ice going to pieces against the rocks in that beach with a raging storm in front of you...you just want it to take you inside one of its giant waves and die...

Poem Artwork

Andre and Fee will understand that sometimes that dark dungeon is the only place to go...

I sat about the seas in upheaval shores
with only my soul keeping me on a stone,
as the salty drops castigated my face
with all the contempt of an angry storm,
because only she knew my deep secret,
that storm knew what my sadness was,
adding my tears to the breaking waves
that from my falling heart heard its call.

The waves became berserk with fury
they couldn’t moving me, I was a rock,
hardened through times of rejections
and an eternal search for a little warm;
waters without memory, just moving,
seas moving since the earth was born
they knew that happiness was a lie
and that I will came to cry on its shores.

The sun bleeding over the horizon
painted in red my face, I was the clown
in a circus made of wet sands surrounded
by rabid waves that didn’t broke a laugh,
and then exhausted the raging tempest
died, falling conquered over my toes,
abject, a servile one prostrating herself,
defeat, at the foot of her master’s throne.

Silence, not even from, an ocean murmur,
the furious wind so ashamed also was gone,
and I could cry my heart out in sadness
because now I knew of being really alone,
with a dream which could never ever be,
the one waking in the arms of tender love,
which no emotional orphan can entertain,
and no one that got his very soul stolen.

Night, calm descended over a tamed sea,
but the pain is still there, she didn’t come,
all was just a figment of a desperate brain
that was sick of the absence of any love,
despairing requiem of dead deep secret,
one that didn’t see the light, not even born,
because she never existed she provoked
a tempest as I sit wondering on that rock.

Tears would run forever, suicidal pain,
don’t cry for something you never got,
life is a twisted thing, one cruel pretzel
to confuse your heart not to give blood;
then you will go to mighty seas border
and on your knees pray for a final storm,
the one that will come with such a passion
that forever that unattainable love be drown.

Georg - I, too, was expecting something light-hearted, but you showed me a the very essence of longing, that universaly human feeling. - David

Georg, this poem hits with the force of the perfect storm! I cannot conceive of a more powerful intense pain brewing in the gut that makes the thought of dying preferable to that of living! You are a splendid writer able to portray all the emotions that takes the readers breath away, and overwhelms the senses!

Sentimental emotions have taken you to a place deep within your soul. A place where you yearn to find ligt and peace yet there is a hole in need of repairing. An emptiness that will always be there, yet offering you strength and the perseverence to continue forward to walk in the light....

Be always safe,
Karen

There is so much emotion blended with the human need for love that we all need. It comes from different places, often unexpected forms. These forms are what help us to heal and perhaps survive the tempest called life. I can feel this poem.

The sad emotions in this poem are heart-wrenching, Georg. Live your life here on Earth with fullness and gratitude, then at such time you will hold the babe in your arms. What beauty, pure love, and longing in this poem, and my favorite of your!

I am honoured just to have my name mentioned on the periphy of this absolutely stunning epic. You have grabbed the emotional turmoils of all mankind in the realms of broken spirits and weaved it into the mighty forces of wind, rain and water to bring it not to a crashing climax...instead to a soothing, albeit painful, realization. This is definately your best write of all time and also one of the best I have had the privalege of reading. Please submit for publication.

Georg, you must have melted that rock you sat on, your tears edging it into the sand of the ocean, no flowers or life will ever grow there again, such sorrow will not support life, may heaven send you blessings and fulfill your wishes, before you join that sea> Jasmin Horst

“Drown that love” was delivered for the final celebrating day of The National Poetry Month. Mother Poet is smiling, and I am privileged to read a poem of this magnitude.

Anyone can earn a Ph.D. in Literature, (Major Poetics) but only a Poet can write a poem.

The Poet may dive into oceans of darkness to find literary pearls like the ones Poet Georg Edvard Mateos has broght to spotlight throughout The National Poetry Month... Percipient here and hierophant there... and the Holy Assembly of the MUSES keep meeting every time this Son of Mother Poet emerges under the smiles of Poseidon by the shores of Poetic significance.

On this closing day of The National Poetry Month, It is my task to invite all that navigates under the wings of imagination and likes Poetry to read "A Defence of Poetry" by by Percy Bysshe Shelley, http://www.thomaslovepeacock.net/defence.html < < < < < < <
Those that have read it, please read it again. As a pre or complimentary reading to that I recommend • United Letters

George,
Oh Goodness What An Epic Love Story This Is To Me. And I Loved Reading Your Expression & Feelings George.

The height of surrender in defeat is so grief strickening. It however is not love that ever hurts or harms, it is the attatchments to it & when it leaves we all know this as your heart bolting poem here depicts the grave pains so deeply of the scar we can birth in wanting love's return.
Wonderful Write!
