At the same moment I was to throw a stone on the dead calm waters...the Master surfaced, and there is rejoicing among the Olympus gods and all the lesser gods and goddesses poets...

Poem Artwork

I have asked the Olympus gods
with a humble prayer of my own
why they have forgotten his place
when one among them all he was,
the one no wasting time like Bacchus
libation of wines and getting drunk,
while Andre with unique poet’s quill
divine poems to mortal men he wrote,
as them ignored Olympus sapience
engaging themselves in many a war.

Men’s universe had become silent
nobody a protest for injustice shouts,
complacency reigns under Ares, over
a humanity that are human no more,
when Hermes came telling all of us
that deceit were asking for our votes,
so the slithering snakes on the grass
can every democratic morsel devour.

The Champion of Justice became tacit
perhaps tired, many a deaf man he saw
that no reason willingly want to hear
coming from the Master’s true voice,
as they are smoking the opium of lies,
dreaming, of their paradise are devoid
as they sleep away their true times
where man on the scales put his soul,
to wake up every morning by choice,
as “they” deleted Justice from his world.

Not only a friend but more like a brother,
peaceful he came knocking on my door
to tell me that Olympus was getting empty
as mortals wanted to cover it with gold,
prisons growing, houses filled with hunger
because our everyday bread are no more,
if you want to eat you need to be a thieve
because the food are on the thieves board,
Oh Andre the poet and ben YEHU the man,
your quill should write for us your words.

This is a very smart poem for a very smart poet.

People fall into two categories, followers and leaders. This dichotomy exists even within each individual person. We follow our leaders because it helps us lead our lives. So you see, this is not really a problem. Without the duality of human nature, there would be no cooperation between people.

What has allowed humans to gilt over their Olympian dreams, is a need to better themselves, for the next generation of leader/followers. People choose who will serve their own selfish interests. That is how you build nations. And like all things, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction...that is how you destroy nations.

One for all, all for one.

I am impressed with this writing. The tributee needs no "Pulitzer" after this PRIZE!

I like this composition for its historic-poetic importance, and for its inspiring poetic art.

In respect,

This reminds of the day Aristotle left the Academy, and Plato said: "There goes the one that teaches the Masters."

You are a poetic Patriarch with a heart that flows ichor, a mind that creates wonders, and a glowing Soul.

Thank for showing the world the pathways to wisdom.

Andre I bet is plugging away at the vineyards of injustice, collecting all the untruth and great sins of humanity, and then when his basket is overflowing, will share humanities sour fruit, as medicine for enlightenment and awareness. His voice in the wilderness rings out seldom, but when it does, it says great and wise things, as an Oracle would. Bless you friend for writing such a most appreciative tribute to one of our treasures on AD.Jasmin Horst

Indeed Andre is a rare individual with a unique writing style and enlightened perceptivities. In 2006 the relationship that we had was very thought-provoking and, though there are areas of spirituality that we do not agree in, his verve and intelligent insights have deposited seeds in me that have since grown into verdant gardens.

A worthy tribute from an equally enlightened and honorable gentleman.
