To those that read the Traveler series and thought "that's it?" it took a lot of time for the inspiration to come and put that final end point and this is it, after...nothing its needed there to say...

Dedicated to George J Carrol

Never reaching the far horizon
no matter for how long he walks,
playing with him hide and seek
keeps pulled away by the world,
with a silence broken by a scream
asking, “where are thou my Lord!”

He buried himself down the sands
because searching, he was no more,
and gave his body to the vipers
and the desert’s many scorpions,
the sun was high but there was dark
death have no pity and no remorse.

Once, in a not so faraway land was
a man named Lazarus inside a tomb,
he didn’t scream “where are thou!”
he just exhaled and his eyes closed,
and that was it, eternity beginnings,
until Lazarus was raised by the Son.

Sand dunes moving by the winds
can wipe suddenly a blinding storm
threading camels thru needle’s eyes
with the faith it have of its own force,
the buried Travelers in those sands
will only leave there bleached bones.

Until the One that never was deaf,
blew the sands over Traveler’s tomb
and saw that the owner of questions
raised by the command of His voice,
looked the new resurrected in the eyes
and He said, “Here I am, your Lord”

The Traveler falling on his knees
had heard at last the voice of God,
to be with Him a passage of death
was necessary, he now understood
God was always at his foolish side
during all the searches for his God.

Everyone, of resurrection, is worth.

Dear Georg,

Your poem is very deep and reflects the truth. Who understands the truth and who can find it? Neither the priests, nor the rabbis, nor the imams, who are "teaching" others, know the truth. The Truth is within us, crying, but we don't see it and we don't hear it. Such subjet cannot be discussed with anyone, as no one can share his truth with another one. But, my friend, the truth is deep within us. Our major obstacle is our intellect, as it deprives us from simplicity and will not let us find it. However, those who are prepared for it, will find it. Life is a long journey to prepare us to find the Truth. Happy are those who get there. You are probably one of them. Love, Emile
By the way, I could not find #5 The Traveler in search of God

And now- from the dying of Self, and the burial of Doubt, comes the Resurrection of the Truth that there is God. "Here I am Lord." the line of acceptance and surrender to the Son Who alone gives life, spiritual life. The final poem of your series closes the tomb of questions and buries the decay of wanderings and searches, opening the new life of hope and growth, of light and air. Breathe.

I think that what Ed K stated, reminds me of me, and its nice to know, though I have been searching my life through, He is still with me to some degree...I think I started to read the series, but found it too, at the time, religious...? Though I could be wrong and thinking of another series I started but never finished...ed

Dang, and the religion moguls have had us convinced that God was only available for comment -- on weekends. I am aghast :-)

Well done, Georg, and a super ending!!!
