Outside my window winter go tiptoeing

white snow like a shroud over my dreams

New Year’s coming, turn yet another page,
a fresh one, where delicately she can write

which I need in my total ostracism to survive.

She will look at her Christmas tree and discover
that like small candles all my kisses are alight
to dissipate any shadows trying for her face
with the brightest flames of my unending love.

Winter Roses are shedding tears made of dew,
