Larry Linville never doubted what he wanted to be when he grew up or need to ask himself twice, he had heard the call to spread God's words.
Today we celebrate his birthday and more than forty years of dedication in God's service.

He send him to fight His battles on earth,
the one created on His image, a strong one,
with softly voice without condemning fire,
telling his flock the Truth with smiling eyes.

He, the Preacher, is the friend you wished
to be in moments of pain ready at your side,
to put his arm on your defeated shoulders
to give you the needed strength and abide.

The bells of churches and chapels are mute,
for calling is flock, our dear Preacher retired,
but as always, the warriors of God will not
wander too far when a Sermon is required.

Looking at his face the first thing we notice is
the peaceful par of eyes and the happy smile,
more today, 11th of March, is whole birthday,
Larry Linville, a God’s Preacher for life.
