I wrote this a few moons ago, when Bear Paw gave us a picture of those Pilgrims coming to the land and Native Americans complained about the illegal immigrants, well, now pale-face is complaining that to "their" country are coming too much illegals? and that they are ruining the land?

Dedicated to Carolyn Red Bear

The horizon is full with grazing buffalo
overhead a watchful eagle on the sky,
one can hear the singing of Father Wind
and feel the strong beat from her heart,
Mother Earth is happy, as it should be.

Long away, back the mountain’s range,
smoke is going up from Medicine Man,
telling all people a storm coming here
even if darkest clouds can’t be found,
“beware children of my sacred prairie,
old eyes will be one day, so full of tears.

No one owns, Mother Earth welcome us
on our birth…and the day when we die,
to take care of our Mother just we need
to let her know how grateful we all are
of have the privilege to be her sons, not
with two tongues words, but with deeds.

Children are happy, hear those laughs,
with bad medicine dark storming clouds
we will be soon crying says the prophesy,
that Great Spirit let it happen do not why,
we have lived more than thousands years
with life coming and going in our teepees.

But the peace is broken before any war
drums tell the prairies to hear the cries
of many braves that saw it all in a dream
where you fight for Mother until you die
or you conquer your Nation’s menaces,
those dark storms clouds, her enemies.

Great Spirit call came in a peaceful night
in a dream to raise and defend the Land,
to Chief Joseph and all Geronimo’s kin,
Quanah Parker and Crazy Horse to fight,
against the Long Knives attacking Mother,
with Sitting Bull the supreme War Chief.

Karena Medicine Woman, feels the Great Spirit's word. Mother Earth is very sad, for her warriors have forsaken her health. She is crying for renewal and rebirth. We must hear her, and send healing energy to her core. The Great Spirit has spoken through the wind to my heart and tells me there is a new day of reckoning coming. In 24 moons, this world will be different and we who believe in the power of the Great Spirit and Mother Earth's health will be taken care of. We must prepare for this new dawn and spread the word of the Great Spirit and take steps to live as we did back when Sitting Bull's ancestors ruled the Earth. We need to go back to simpler times, reviving all of Mother Earth's resources and creatures. Let us join in saving what is left now.
Thank you for writing such a beautiful poem. I don't know how I could have missed this.
Much peace love, and light

Oh Great Wounded Beagle,
Wouldst thou be our chief most regal,
Firstly though a passport you'd need,
Many immigrants can enter, as long as they do so most legal...Ed

These my friend are happy smoke signals send to wonderful friend Paw, she will beat her drum to tell Manitou of you. A very deserving tribute to our friend, who tells us in her native tongue all the rich truth her spirit people left us, if we only listen and think for once, and feel her heart!!!!!! Loved it Georg! The Land Built by Immigrants - complains about immigrants. People today say these immigrants have no passports or visas, they don't speak our language, and many of them are not of our same religion.

Yet, this country was invaded and built by people who had no passports or visas, who did not speak the Native American language, and, who, of course, did not practice the same religion the natives did.

If the Native Americans had erected huge border fences, guess what we would have done - we would have trampled them down, and invaded anyway.

Yes, this poem tells us all who the real "native Americans" are, and they are the Indians - not the immigrant White Man. So who's the immigrant - even the Australians are not the real "Australians" but the Aborogines and Maoris. In the Philippines, they are the Pygmies and Negritos, not us the Malay/Chinese/Spanish race.
