Look at the picture, look at the child, it is a reflection of yourself or are you one of them that wished destiny could have placed you there?
To the late, it is nothing wrong with you...you were given the wrong, the cold stones.

Poem Artwork

Even stones appears to be soft
when they represent an act of love,
a child between his parents…
and nothing more,
just an infinite tenderness
that are the real walls of home.

That child could had been a bird
protected on a nest of thorns,
from the intrusion of polar winds
or circling in the sky, the predators,
it will be protected by
motherly feathers against Jack Frost.

Many a man or a woman will see what
they wanted as a child on the stones,
the arms of Dad all around
and the warmth from the heart of Mom,
no more lonely orphan is there
that the ones that parental love left alone.

Look at the picture and tell me sincere
that the child in the picture is you so,
because many will envy you to have had
what they were promised and had not,
to be a bird like. a little child surrounded
by the arms of Dad and the Heart of Mom.

Every child should be surrounded by such love. I wish you could have had it Georg, but it's a credit to your creator and your own determination that you became such a fine and caring man without parental love. May the rest of your days be filled with love.

Georg. That picture was me but I do not look for envy but find myself eternaly grateful for my good fortune. You are so right that many, many never have or never will feel the softness of the stone. Patrick

Georg, you comment on my blog brought me back to your site to read this one. And here is my reply...
When i was told, only 3 years ago that i had been minutes away from being aborted, I was stunned. Because of a very stressful childhood, and grew up not feeling loved, I guess my writing of Little One is, as people who have read the first book said...it is as though I wish life was more like that.
One of my first thoughts after my mother told me was 'why didn't she give me up for adoption to a family who would have really loved me.'
And I wonder if I am capable of truly loving others as much as I think I can.

George I have always said every child deserves the right to two loving parents but that don't always happen, sad.

It is always sad when all cannot begin life with both loving parents. How well you bring this all to life and reality...

WHEN i READ A WORK SUCH AS THIS...IT REMINDS ME OF THE 27TH PSALM; '...WHEN MY FATHER AND MY MOTHER FORSAKE ME...THEN THE LORD WILL TAKE ME UP...' & ALSO THAT SONG...'TO BE LOVED...TO BE LOVED...OH! WHAT A FEELING...TO BE LOVED!' I LOVED THIS WORK GEORG, AND THANKS SO VERY MUCH FOR SHARING. GOD BLESS. JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Powerful powerful poem. What I see is a dream for a child who has been abused and has found a home with two parents who let this child know they are precious and will no longer be afraid or abused. They are finally safe and home.Wonderul!!

personally, when i see the child, it absent of any arms around him ... the arms cannot be cold if they are not there ... no more lonely is the child whose mother died bringing him into the world and who father denied his presence ... i do appreciate the overall content of this poem and the eloquent manner it was presented ... good work, Georg ...

Very moving poem Georg. To a child of any age the love it receives is the foundation of what he/she will become. The more love the better person.

Only in Sweden the land of Eden, and here and there a few, yes I think though, birds do a better job, if they could only keep the biggest predator away, not mentioned. Concrete jungles, even wooden ones don't lend themselves to building better nests, with adults of better parenting skills. or for that matter love. LOve has to be shared not just at home, but all around, it has to become a culture,,,,,The sculpture is a great metaphor, Hugs! Jasmin Horst

this is so emotionally deep Georg…and reflective too (tissues please)
penetrates my heart where beautiful memories of love are cultivated
nurturing the very depths this most precious innate gift
I know I am most thankful to know these gifts given to me by my creators of love
Though their presence was short lived here on earth
“just an infinite tenderness
that are the real walls of home.”
