One hundred years from now nobody will remember who screamed in pain first…or who was the last.
Strong emotions traveling on eagles wings
as tender feelings does on those of butterflies,
flesh tortured by grabbing deceits talons
or tears shed for a happy given piece of love.
Labyrinthine maze of spiritual twisted corridors
from where we hear asking for help a little child;
with a cutting edge of desperation wrapped voice
“Tomorrow! Tomorrow! Have a tomorrow will I?”
A rose is not a rose is a rose, no, it is no more
as promises of forever will become towering lies.
no flowers in the secret gardens full of thorns,
there are no doors in Hell, only the end of life.
Souls wandering like wilderness lost tumbleweeds,
don’t ask the deaf one an explanation for your whys,
as those that weren’t born were spared the agony
to live through all of it, hearing all the truthful lies.
The promiscuity of insults like acid rain falling
inconsequent on the dead rocks of a barren ground,
so few words ever heard to soothe hurting solitudes,
that the sadness child will still screaming as he dies.
Tormented guilt is cracking under marching feet
on the cobblestones of a long street called life,
one hundred years from now nobody will remember
who screamed in pain first…or who was the last.
Strong emotions traveling on eagles wings
as tender feelings does on those of butterflies,
existences mercies like an universal little spark
don’t ask me why we were born if we go to die.
I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU MEAN BUT, LIFE IS LIFE...WE ARE NEVER ALONE AS WE PRESS OUR WAY THROUGH ON THIS 'BARREN' JOURNEY. WE DO NOT HAVE TO FIGHT...'HE' FIGHTS FOR US AND, IF WE LET HIM, HE WILL BEAR MOST OF THE PAIN. LIFE, INDEED, IS NOT EASY BUT WE HAVE A SURE REWARD AND (AS FELLOW POET CINDY TUTTLE SAYS) IT IS IN THE DARKNESS THAT WE 'SEE' THE LIGHT SO MUCH CLEARER...REALIZING WE DON'T 'GO' TO DIE...BUT TO LIVE... ETERNALLY! YOU HAVE BEEN BLESSED IN YOUR LIFE GEORG IN THAT YOU CAN BE, THROUGH YOUR ARTISTRY OF PAINTING, SCULPTURING AND WORDS, SUCH AN INSTRUMENT OF INSPIRATION. GOD HAS BEEN WITH YOU ALL THE WAY...PERHAPS...FOR THIS VERY TIME. THANKS FOR SHARING THIS STRONG WORK AND GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS.

I appreciate the philosophical outlook that you share through your verses here, Georg. What you describe is why I don't often write happy "poetry" unless it is nonsense. Love and peace,
Thank God for the eagles strength. . . to carry our heavier loads!
Deep, dark and real, Georg!
The sooner we create answers, the sooner we'll manifest a solution!

It will not matter
what kind of car I drove
what kind of house I lived in
how much money I had
in my bank account, nor
what my clothes looked like.
But the world may be
a little better because
I was important in
the life of a child....
Todays actions will impact on those who come after us.
We enjoy the rose, our first kiss, sunsets, moonsets, not other being on the planet does. Yet we are so talented in the art of killing beauty with such artistry and greed of the likes of Trump.
But, what is death to a newborn. The leaving of the womb and entering a new world. Is not death the unknown frontier?
...ah but the one little giggling child can make the world seem beautiful indeed...

Yes, life really sucks. Couldn't agree with you more. But, it seems that we have lost our way because we have lost faith in ourselves. We have abdicated our souls to corrupt politicians, warlords and mad-scientists. And we're surprised that these fallible, human entities cannot fulfill our ultimate destinies?
Full of emotion, sadness and imagery. Strong feelings coming through to make us examine our own existence. So sad to see so strong and beautiful a mind tortured by the ignorant, who are too self absorbed and blind, to appreciate your heart, and selfish to see beyond their own libidos and appetites for destruction.
Keep writing George, may be one day we will wake up before it is too late. Life does go on, but in a far better place than what we have turned our paradise into today. Hope we meet one day in a brighter day!
Powerful sadness in this one, Georg; you have me worried! You are ever in my prayers and thoughts; if there's anyone who deserves to be happy, it's YOU!! Well done!

my soul chills within your pen Georg
emotional souls through feathers & winds
strengths to withstand many destructive paths
over coming obstacles & yet...
an abundance of defeat as to never knowing why
why those whom decieve lie
& why those whom offer lies claim truths
and why is truth always present and watching...

You are feuding with the Gods my friend, I wonder often of your sentiments, the scars they inflicted upon you, should we take up battle with these absent slave owners, landlords, lets just hope that death is more benign, and holds no more of the other, but if it carries on forever, we shall become much battle hardened, and become like them, woe humanity, of what is left of it. Hugs! Jasmin Horst
God, this one hurts to read, Georg: if life really sucked, we wouldn't have read your words, because you would have folded to the pain and wouldn't be here. I'm glad you are: a Poet's pain is the keenest of all. :( Well done.

There is power and depth here and fine wisdom; you see so clearly.

Very sadly sounds like our world, today.
