So true. Many forget that coffins do not come with pockets. Something tells me that the golden calf was burned in the fire. Where did all the gold come from anyway? They wandered in the desert for 40 years with not a mall in sight. As punishment for their turning away from God no one of the original peoples ever saw the land of milk and honey. You certainly said a mouthful of truth in short order my friend, You wonder from what book they are reading, being greedy can reside in all of us, making it an art, has to be learned, of course we have plenty of modern Universities, that teach how, but obfuscate on the wisdom, or not, inherent in what they are presenting. I would think that the wisdom of the heart is missing, another centre of learning, that is not integrated with a fully rounded human being, where compassion for ones fellow traveller would take account of his needs, but maybe that might be confused with a religious or spiritual attitude.
