Our Country bases its principles on our freedom of religious faith

Even atheists have respect for those who believe in God, without hate

Those of other faiths do not require specific times throughout the day in order to pray

Yet we as Americans accept a Muslim’s need to pray, more than once a day.

We do not discriminate even though our businesses and factories are losing valuable time.

We know how important one’s beliefs are even though it is on our dime

You profess how your religion is the best

And, express the kindness and love to which Allah will place our minds to rest.

Yet Women are the least protected members of your families, which is evident all above the rest

There appears to be a lack of awareness of those fundamental liberties we expect

Such as the dignity of men and women and the democratic principle of government which you so reject

You use our constitution as your base

But your consideration of the feelings of others is not the case

Our principals and the dignity of all men and women we will not relinquish

This is America whose prosperity and ideals you would like to vanquish

You site the first amendment as the reason for building a mosque where so many suffered despair

Do you really believe that by building a mosque where so many have died in the name of Allah, your religious beliefs will repair?

Our country is based upon a democratic society

Yet through the pleas of others, only your wishes are that of propriety

And what is sad is that we have elected one who honors your religion above the rest

Removing God’s name and even the Pledge of Allegiance is his real test

We will always remember this to be the darkest of times when our cries are no longer heard

Our president’s funding of he who is securing the money to pay for the mosque is totally absurd.

In his eyes it appears this is no longer a democracy and one in which the majority prevails.

The situation of his changing our world will be remembered always in the greatest of details

This is a time when one religion alone wishes to conquer and keep us in tow

Not allowing our individual and majority freedoms to show

Using a constitutional amendment is an excuse

To change democracy is abuse.

There is obviously no concern for those who plea

That another site would be better, don’t you see?

Treat others as you wish to be treated

In God We Trust and we shall not be defeated.
