Golgotha
The place of the skull
A hill just outside the city walls
Here they brought Jesus
And hung Him on a Cross!
“Ah,” thought Satan, “the war I have won!”
But short-lived is his victory
‘cause three days later rose Jesus
And crushed Satan’s bloated head;
Thus forever reconciling believers
To God Almighty
And Eternal life in Heaven!
Hallelujah!
“And He bearing His Cross went forth
Into a place called the place of the skull,
Which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha.”
