“Eyes, looking at me, who is this person I see?”

Poem Artwork

“Eyes, looking at me, who is this person I see?”
Ask the enigma who watches the one who one sees,
the one who knows better, we know;
whose mystery personifies our essence;
distances the observer;
scrutinizes thoughts and actions; incisive.

Voice, the one silent in speaking,
we hearken, dismissing sometimes;
whispering secrets unheeded to our detriment;
listening, the danger allays. We’re learning?
Allied is one friend we can trust – always – and must;
inside, a wise one uncanny resides.

Heart touched, one who feels what heed overrules;
emotions masters, allows only what one should:
would feed, aid and bleed for others;
however, not to one’s harm.
Spills over in expressing the soul’s imperatives:
loves, relationships, the creative arts.

The soul searches -- some times we answer ourselves, some times those answers come through someone elses creative museings. I like this poem very much.

An inquisitive poem that answers with eloquence and grace,
those things we all yearn for. Fine work Helga!

Sunrise of Thought by Bruce Humphrey

Welcome! The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help. Beautif
