My New Year’s Resolution - hope I can live up to it!

Poet’s resolution–-Write my lifescript.
Be it resolved to compose, come what may;
notwithstanding, missives I move to say
be read, life recorded as lived and quipped
be liked; (surely some things from pages ripped
from undertakings I fashion from play,
some bit of passion squeezed out of a day?)
commit with this taste of sacrament sipped.
Enough sitting on duff doing nothing
too much: I can catch the passing parade!
Such is the call of my Muse and my need
to pursue interests enthused; do something
to share, maybe enjoyed, as I’m self-made;
make of a moment a word and a deed.
Worthy and noble sentiments, Helga. They sure make me think but I think they aspire to heights I dare not even think of reaching. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and peace to you,
A fine composition of words and thoughts, and a resolution worthy to be pursued indeed. Self-made requires the help of so many others though. Self motivated would be a great start.
