I wrote this poem on a whim. I am not even sure I know where it was leading until it leads me there. I trust in God and I watch the seasons come and go. Maybe that is why he wanted me to write this. Whatever the season, it is a step toward my savior.

The Cool October Breeze

It is October; it is the month of Halloween.

It is October; the trees are shedding their green.

It is October. the clouds are lifting higher in the sky.

This is the month when temperatures fall

And the breeze comes with a sigh.

We don our sweaters and jackets for the temperatures are dropping.

We prepare our fireplace and gather wood and build a fire that soon will be crackling and popping.

It is October; as we watch all living things preparing for the climate change.

The trees will soon have dropped their leaves; now gray replaces green as we scan the mountain range.

It’s all a part of life’s constant cycle and the trees and flowers sleep through the winter snow.

We will watch the mountain range turn from gray to white and then back as snows come and go.

It is October and leaves are flying past my window.

I watch and I admire the winds as they cause the trees to dance to and fro.

Soon we will see the winter snow and then the rebirth of spring.

This cycle of life seems as if it is a never ending thing.

However, all things come to an end and what becomes of us then.

I simply trust in God for I know I will live again.

Nay, I will simply move from this world to another cycle of life.

I trust he will show me where I may live without care or strife.

Think about eternal life.  Is it not a prize to win?

Is it not worth praying to Jesus Christ who will wash away our sin?

Look up for your redemption draweth Nye and your cares are cleared away.

You can know the love of Jesus Christ today and every day.

It’s October, and I see God’s work all around me everywhere.

I know that whatever tomorrow brings he will give me strength to bear.

So I will pray and trust and work for Jesus because he first died for me.
So on this October day I look above the clouds and Heaven I can se

Lew,

Thank you for your wonderful poetry, and acknowledgement of our LORD!

I love October and November..watching how The LORD has programmed nature to prepare for the winter. My husband and I like to take walks on the nature trails and just breathe in the magnanimous beauty of our Creator! And as He continues to heal me, I am enabled to do so this year! Glory to His Name!

And I ponder..He has seen fit to give us all this beauty on earth....what will Heaven truly be like!

Eye hath not seen, and ear hath not heard....whispers Holy Spirit.
Blessings, Rhonda

It's a beautiful October day here, too. The sky today was blue and it seemed like someone had taken precious time to make white brush strokes across the blue. It made the sky look sooooo beautiful! :)

God Bless
Lena
