I have been on this Earth for many years now

He has seen my life fulfill itself, a happy life somehow

I have lived through many good times and some bad

However, even the bad times were not awful or sad

And, looking back I realize it’s the good times for which I am thankful

I begin each day with a prayer to my God up in Heaven

A good-morning prayer, a joyful one of adoration

A prayer that thanks him for each and every day he has given

For he is my creator and the architect of my life

Sharing with me the joyful times and bracing me for times of strife

It is God who touches my heart to be kind, to forgive and to love

Love, the most wonderful gift sent from Heaven above

As I look back on my life the times when I remember that my actions were fruitless

I have no one to blame those failures but myself for I was driven by selfish desires and they proved to be useless

God forgives me my failures and promotes my success

Indeed they were not mine but his and as I look back it is this which I must confess

Praise God
