Recently there was a demonstration not far from my home by a group that said they were from a church group but somehow I did not feel the power of God. I don’t think he was the one to lead them to burn American flags. Although I will respect their right to voice their opinions I feel led to voice mine. “God is love.” There is nowhere in his word that he teaches us to hate

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but harsh words stir up anger. - Proverbs 15:1 *Love is a word we use to define a great feeling of affection* *To hate is to feel a great distaste or feeling of abomination* *To love is to show kindness, friendship or great adoration* *It promotes goodwill and breeds more love and leads to true devotion* *While love fosters growth and encourages good things to ensue* *Hatred is destructive like a cancer and can eat away at you* *Love will guide you to look for sunshine even on a rainy day* *Without it you may find only devastation that will obstinately stand in the way* *Cast out the scourge of hate, dislike and abomination* *For these things feed on one another and lead the way to sin and destruction* *Love will overcome these burdens because it first came from God above* *It is for this reason it is to our benefit that we reflect God’s abundant love*

There is nowhere in his word that he teaches us to hate

Yet so many so called 'religious leaders' today preach it; and that's so very sad.
