He remembers our frame and knows that we are dust. He may sometimes chasten us, it is true , but even this He does with a smile, the proud, tender smile of a Father who is bursting with pleasure over an imperfect but promising son who is coming every day to look more and more like the One whose child he is� a quote from A.W. Tozer on Gods Chastisement

*The Lord thy God is truly a loving father of us one and all* *He bursts with pride when we do good and disappointment when we fall* *He chastens us when he sees us go stray* *And encourages us to follow his will and to obey* *But even his reprimands are done with love* *For it is his wish that we be lifted above* *Above the passions of the flesh to dwell on the fruits of the Holy Spirit* *This is why he sent to us the living word and gave us ears that we might hear it.* *The word came and became flesh in the form of Jesus Christ his only son* *It was through his life, death on the cross and resurrection that our eternal life was won* *Let us embrace the Son of God and the father of us, one and all* *Give your heart and soul to him and answer, “Lord I am here,” when he comes to call*
