In the past God spoke to our ancestors in various and meaningful ways
But he speaks to us through Jesus, his only begotten son these days
The prophets spoke of his coming and worked to prepare the way
Now it is ours to celebrate his coming and we do it on Christmas Day
He was born in a lowly stable and a manger was where he lay
He lived, died and was resurrected, the price for our sins to pay
Because of his love for us the Father sent Jesus to show us the way
He taught us of the Fathers great love and he lovingly said that we should obey
This great love is the miracle which we annually celebrate on Christmas Day
Let us rejoice and party and most of all let us take time to pray
And let us thank our Heavenly father whose son has shown us the way
And let us study his teachings and more importantly let us all obey
For this is the true meaning of this glorious and meaningful Holiday
But let us celebrate the meaning of Christmas today and every day
