You may ask, “How dare I pray this way?”
Why do I not bow down when I pray?
I should be kneeling down to say
“Dear Heavenly Father I pray for forgiveness on this gray day
I have emotional problems which I need you to address”
Or when I pray for help to make my life better progress
Or I may simply want to say Thank you
For the gifts you’ve given and the things you do
Should I be kneeling at an alter in a sanctuary?
When I share my qualms or my worries
Or when I pray in jubilation
Thanking you for my emancipation
I may be praying as I drive along
Or I may be praising God in song
If I be not physically on my knees to say my prayers
This is not a point for which my Lord cares
He will answer my prayers for they come from the heart
He will hear them and rest assured his love he will impart.
