Ron, a tragic but unfortantually true story more than most of us even know. Sometimes going back to visit that inner child helps ease the pain and dropping all blame along the way is a true blessing. It allows us to let go and grow. It also makes us more understanding and tollerant and loving of others. Sad and tragic is right. so is the lack of morals when we can kill millions of babies each year and parents care more about themselves than the children they bring into this world. We can't blame everyone else, government , wars etc. We the people humanity is responsible. We want our cake and eat it too! We want it all without having to answer to a creator!!! Superb poem nonetheless Ron;-)!

Yes, the true American tragedy is the loss of so many who still made it home from the wars, never again in one piece, never again to experience a life like they had prior to serving their country...you made this altogether too clear, Ron...a painful subject and as Kate says so sad...Ed
