I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...
I think I can go through another day without feeling like I'm not where I'm supposed to be.
As I've grown older I've wrestled to take full control of my own life and try to really live.
But day by day the demons of yesterday work to bring me back udner their submission.
There was a time when others would say 'you should do such and such this way'
and I would just do it to please them.
There was a time when what I wore was what others thought was my style--- when all the while comfort not popularity was more important to me.
There was even a time when my smile and baby face were ednough to erase what some knew to be a less than perfect past.
But not now.
Now, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.
I think I ca look back at the mistakes I've made and finally accept responsibility for them.
I think I can look back in the mirror and accept the reflection of the one looking back at me as my truth, and not that created by other's opinions.
With time I am finding the benefits of following your heart--- even when you bruise it by decisions that are based on feelings and not what you really know.
Yes, I think I can break free and try to see the silver lining behind life's gloom and doom.
Adding years to my life has helped wisdom to grow and take flight, and I can only hope that commonsense comes along for the ride.
So with the two of them aiding me on my journey each day maybe peace of mind will find me a safe haven in which to abide.
And with all three in my possession, I can proudly declare that I CAN be successful.
BRAVO, BRAVO!!! This one goes in my library!!

Yes, C.A. you CAN do anything you set your mind too.
I suffer from depression and so many times that little
engine just didn't want to go. Thank you for reminding
me it CAN. This is superb and will be hung on my fridge
if it's ok with you.
