Many kinds of geese overwinter here. What a beautiful piece of flight tech, a bird in flight!

Canadas air borne. V organizing a chatty winged cousinage-- free lunch to the South. Solitary flies contrary, mate and tribe both lost, mourning legendary ancient lays of North.

I often wondered how the birds can fly together just like that, and then when the leader changes direction, they all change together SIMULTANEOUSLY.

How they convey the message to change the direction from the first bird to the last one on the line is beyond me.
