No matter how hard you try. . . true love will find YOU!
I outlined a heart in my gravel dirt drive with my toe pointed out, I traced your name and mine "Kimmy and Jimmy" . . .but then my dad drove over it
We just wasn’t meant to be . . .
I carved your initials in my upper left arm with an "I love" above and "forever" below but, somehow, your letters read out, spelling some other guys name, named "JOE?"
We just wasn’t meant to be . . .
I whittled an arrow from my favorite pine tree with bow in my hand. . .then I had to pee! I missed my love’s target, while aiming at you but, met my future husband on my way to the leu!
We just wasn’t meant to be . .
Years went by, and there were some times I thought about me. . . you, and all I wondered where life had brought you instead and I even wrote a poem about Paul. . .
Cause, we are!

Loved it! Absolutely a fine and entertaining poem. I'm counting on your words that no matter how hard we try -- true love will find us. Cheers! Deborah
Paul is very lucky to have someone as special as you are. That was indeed a beautiful poem.Life can be unpredictable sometimes. We never know what the future may bring.
This is so genuinely adorable! Strange how God carves out paths for us, isn,t it?? I traveled three thousand miles, from New York to California with seven year old in tow. Found an apartment, settled in, my son met Robert just a few doors down. My son introduced me to his new California friend, Robert. Robert is a homegrown Brooklyn boy!! So I traveled three thousand miles to meet my second husband who lived thirty five miles away from me, my entire life. See, God really does work wonders.....
Oh how time brings us to our romantic journeys infinite thread, while former interactions float on by to their own destination. Enjoyed

Yup KVK ... it's a blessing to love and to be loved, and to be able to poetize what you feel. Paul is blessed - you are blessed - and I was blessed reading this. Thanks Kimmy friend! Yur bud ...

Thanks for sharing a few moments of your life, and to show that some have found the happiness they deserve.
I bet Paul is as proud as a peacock showing its iridescent tail.

How wonderful Kimmy, you are right...I too had dated several people, whom I thought was THE ONE...while the entire time my future husband was there, my brother's biggest buddy, and a good friend to me...I would've never imagined my life with him...as a husband that is! He often ask me to go out with him, I laughed and said no! Ironically our first date I asked him out because I had broken up with my boyfriend and had no date for the weekend, the rest was history....twenty eight years later we're still holding on...boy I'm glad that I broke up with the other guy all those years ago...he turned out to be a real jerk! But true love prevailed...loved this my friend, also allowed me to take a gentle stroll down memory lane...
Blessings,
Joyce B.
