forming
in little white balls in the Winter’s
 of my foolery
little white ball’s in the new fallen snow. . .
I find blankets to roll in
so,  I roll in them!

at first
ever so pacifying, I roll here and here
(. . . notice behind me, the little round tire tracks)
A hint of last summer!
. . . in the green paths of what we left here,  deep down under
under what came down. . .
Snowed me!

I hope I always see green in this whiteness!
 . . . in my corn snow
 as I’m flaking away. . .
still rolling along here. . .
. . . now, in the deviated patchwork’s of old grass. . .
soon,  I will be lying stiff and powdered myself

I’m Emblazoned!
Now,  the base is set.
My foundation of Man Snow! (Say it loudly!)
two more rounds and my wallow is wallowed! (just say that,  once.)
of course the head can’t get any bigger!
One could fall and be analyzed as a flake!

Your heads must be all-rounded!
placed upon firmed middles
with eyes of the blue cracked robins’ egg,
a cattle corn nose and golden wheat,  left aft. . .  for lips
Vest in Chex Mix. . .shirted
but stilled in wearing the black top hat and using sticks for arms
Place the broom in his hands!

Man Snow. . .
I said things!. . .  and waved to you daily. . .
So proud of my creation
Your smile,  made me!
Warmer. . . I cried when you melted away all my foolery
in those Winter’s when I made you.

Man Snow, I loved you!

SPLAT!

excellent write Kimmy
Won't be dreaming of a white Christmas for a while
not with palm trees surrounding me
but My thoughts to those wonderful times
I shared with my kids sliding down steep hills
me dreading the climb back....
then rewarding my self and the kids of cause
with hot soup and chocolate.......
love & peace be with you

Utilizing nature's grains and foodstuffs in winter's artistry building the snowman we all know and love...if only temporary art, photographs make Man Snow a permanent memory...whether it is the traditional snowman, the hor d'oerve or pastry, it's all edible creativity, Kimmy, Be well you and your clan...
