        Blanket of blue..........

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
truth or fiction, how can this be?
Or are our senses fine tuned,
not what we see, but how we see?

Each time you gaze into the horizon,
quenching your soul with God's gifts.
Go ahead, embark on a leap of faith,
experience the joy when your spirit lifts.

Tasting all that lies in the beyond,
enwrapped in an endless blanket of blue.
Surpass the clouds, stars, galaxies,
searching, reaching the heavens true .

Take the first step into infamy,
set yourself free in a sea of green.
Allow your soul's senses to embrace,
all that the eye has never really seen.

Endless beauty is in abundance,
every tree stretching to reach the sky.
Every bird spreading angel wings,
gliding, soaring to a brand new high.

Majestic mountains, grand lakes,
rivers, streams holding fast.
Deserts of time burying mysteries,
see it all now, before it surrenders past.

Each breath, each heart beat, thank God,
for it was he who gifted us, each one, all.
A delicate leaf gently lifted by wind,
each ripple of ocean current, hear the call.

Gently the tide makes its way,
moving, always moving, to another shore.
Just as your soul spans the test of time,
filled with an abundance of life evermore.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
truth or fiction, how can this be?
Or are our senses fine tuned,
not what we see, but how we see?

This is lovely work, Karen. I like to imagine that the 11th Dimension is Heaven, and that experience is beyond the imagination of a body made for experiencing only 4 of the dimensions.

Thank you for your kind words on my outpourings. "Safe" is a good thing to be. Mostly. ;)

Love, Peace & Jazzy Harmonies,
Estrella

Not what we see, but how we see - I think that's very true, and that many people today are very sadly blind to the most beautiful things.

Your poem is beautiful in that it shows the love of nature by its writer. I feel you sense of being awed by the beauty all around in nature. When I take my walks, I, too, am observant of all the beautiful old trees, the wild flowers along the roadside, the different shapes of leaves upon the trees. AWESOME!

As always Karen you look past the mundane to paint a picture of reality of a world that was created so perfectly. Yes mankind has problems...wars, bombs, hunger hatred etc but it also has love, kindness, natural beauty, animals and babies. You always remind us that the greater power above gives us the choice to embrace or push away his great gifts. Excellant write dear friend.

Standing on the edge of the abyss in Mallorca, I could see the seas disappearing on the horizon and the face of the whole island nearly as God looking down could see, the olive orchards and the rivers, the rocky mounts and the peace, nothing more great than the peace and a Peregrine hawk up above where not even the clouds will dare.
God's fingerprints were everywhere...
