Hint of spring.......

A hint of spring slowly seeping in,
one day at a time along with warm wind.
It is here, it is subtle, spreading everywhere,
old man winter is once again to rescind.

Grass is turning different shades of green,
stretching high, bright sun to greet.
Tiny buds forming on the bushes and trees,
toads and rabbits coming out to meet.

Kitties perched on a warm windowsill,
while puppies prance and play outside.
Sitting like lions on library steps,
warmth of the sun feels so good inside.

Images of our flag waving bold and free,
flocks of colorful birds flying high.
Subtle warm breeze, steady as she goes,
twirling, and swooping against the blue sky.

Tiny, delicate leaves struggle to open,
perched upon an old Birchwood tree.
Miniscule red berries decorate the Holly's,
Dandelions sprout teasing with glee.

Standing quietly at waters edge,
feeling the presence of God within.
Wonder how many have stood here before,
to gaze past the horizon with Him.

How blessed we are to have been chosen,
to walk this path, this gift of existence.
Care for His garden so well endowed,
reaching beyond into heaven's distance.

Fearing not what lies beyond,
the fulfillment of life deep in your heart.
Material enhancements matter not;
God's love and yours never shall part.
