I have to clarify the note I put on my "Umasked" poem. Most of you got the wrong impression. It wasn't about nasty comments on my poetry. I'm sure you all have had those.  I've had that happen  in the past and I'm still here. Everyones  comments  are great and too kind as far as I'm concerned;-)

Someone I thought of as a dear friend assumed my poems were to a particular person, then took the comments from the poem, making me the butt of their jokes through misinterpreting those comments  , making bets between them and gloating over it. I used the poetry format to let them know how I feel, because I no longer trust just emails. I hope this puts an end to it.

When you feel that your poems are fodder for peoples shallow imaginations, and are being read not for their worth but for a game, it makes you think twice about what you write. However, I thought twice and figured to hell with them , I'm fair game, on an open board, let them enjoy themselves. Thanks  for all the emails, and for being so supportive and caring.

Lay your head upon my lawn
As you greet the coming dawn
Let the suns rays warm your bones
While light speaks in hushed tones
Press your ears against my ground
Speak your poem with lips new found

Keep your eyes opened wide
Receive visions  from astral guides
Release thoughts of negative report
Let  enlightened mind find comfort
Hold fast to  truths that bind you
Reject  assertions that are untrue

In glad glistening colors bright
A new day arrives to bring  delight
Even the shadows of various hues
May be  harbingers of good news
Embrace the place that brings peace
Let  childish chatter of  nonsense cease

Someone once told me am a yam head who do not know how to write. That put me off a little bit. But, on a second thought, I say to hell with them. 'Embrace the place that brings peace' Well written, and aptly written. Go on with your writing, they are great!

Some people are just nutty Eileen. There's nothing wrong with writing poems to friends or anyone else, even the haters. Quite a few things motivate our pen,

I'm so glad you got everything all worked out. I often figure people like that are simply jealous bones to the core.. Wonderful to see your light here...God bless, Eileen

Excellent and peaceful sentiments expressed in your poetry, Eileen, well-crafted as always. When light speaks in such hushed tones, let it speak indeed! And a big Amen to all the end-putting. I sincerely hope so. Kate xx

People who would do things like that are trite and shallow. How can a trite and shallow person write poetry worth anything? Anyway, to change the subject, your poem today is beautiful. Thank you, Eileen.

Eileen,

I write for me, good, bad, indifferent, doesn't matter. The words have got to be penned--keep writing, my dear, you are one hell (sorry) of a great poet! One of my inspirations. :)

(((((HUGS))))) and love, Karla.
