Poem Artwork

We ran wild and free

in a field of daisies

like two kids playing hooky

Only we were no rookies

giddy with desire

we made love with wild abandon

we spent the entire day

in the realms of pleasures way

putting the world and its woes

on hold while we played with prose

we delved into our fertile minds

and came up with fruitful finds

we explored our passion

with luscious satisfaction

sat embraced under the setting sun

then said farewell when day was done

sweet promises for the morrow made

to meet again with dawns aubade

Great poem Eileen. Nothing better than a country frolic. ~ Sara

P.S. - I checked out your link. I did not know we wandered around the same circle of thought. I'll pass it on to some folks that I think will be interested as well.

Don't know what's up with me tonight, first time back in the Den for a few days... but every page I go to makes me think of all things coming together, past, present and future: and this field is where I'd like to stay FOREVER, I think, morning, noon and night! :)) Tireless, youthful and vibrant as love truly is that is eternally sourced - delightful, thank you... and Blueprint sure is a slick publication, full of promise! Well done! :)) LOL Kate xx

Love the music of the new dawn and the scent of wild flowers. When we plant our seed in this valley of flowers we assure a rebirth for the coming spring.,

Oh, how wonderful! Really brings back memories of those innocent times when Love was shared so freely. We can have it this way always, if we approach each moment of our lives as though it was our first.

There is hardly anything better than feeling, acting, thinking, creating, loving, dreaming, playing, running, being... wild and free! And this poem depicts such delightful state of being in a delightful way! Thank you, dear Eileen!

Beautiful. Your poem reminds me of my childhood when each trip out of the house was a learning experience.

What a delightful poem on a cold cloudy day! Beautifully written, this takes me to the days when my husband and I first met. Ohhhh, tht was exciting. But I don't think my heart could have stood that kind of stress forever. It's even better now. We're too old to run in the fields.
