The flow of my words joined with the
river of my emotion

I could not staunch the tidal wave
 of my souls devotion

Intense verse was now coursing down
the leg of my imagination

I became breathless as my lungs filled
with such anticipation

I couldn't bear the pain as my heart beat
with words of rhyme, that were sublime

Then came the detection of the mirrors image
a reflection most divine... it wasn't mine

I proceeded to write that which was inspired
coming from the molten fire of  design in a muse's mind

And the words came to fruition causing our light to shine

An enjoyable piece; it's certainly a pleasure when the essence of God can flow through the words of mortal men; nicely written. --Joe

Almost surreal images you project here, especially loved the "Intense verse was now coursing down / the leg of my imagination." Gotta love it.

love the climax. foreplay is nice, too. as I didn't sleep much at all last night, I'll be able to see the sun rise this morning here. will hold on to these beautiful images and the idea of it all "coming to fruition." thx, Eileen.

That's how it happens.. But you just say it with eloquance. I'm just happy when I learn to spell eloquence...
