Just before dawn arose I saw a star Fade into the blue and pink sky of morn I felt instincts quicken for places afar Of where the Bethlehem babe was born My heart all aflutter I pictured Him From His birth to what he would become I wondered why I felt filled to the brim Then realized the feeling was wholesome I sang out joyful praises of delight Things felt all aglow in a special way For having received a touch of God's light I 'll forever recall this divine day
Whatever may be the rhyme or reason I hope you enjoy this Christmas season
these kind of moments are magical and mysterious, reminding us that an extraordinary grace can come from "ordinary" attention to creation and the Creator. hold on to it! Dawn
Funny, it is only during this past year that I have taken the time to stand outside of an evening and absorb the wonders of the night sky and how it changes through the days and weeks. But, I have to say, it is JUST this very arena where I can feel SUCH a shot of divine light, and such an awesome wonder, for some reason... like seeing the face of God through a screen of pinpricks. Beautifully expressed, Eileen. TY Kate xx

I sometimes wonder what it was like for the shepherds in the fields when they saw the bright star that night. Your poem brings to mind that awesome feeling.
I love waking up at dawn to the Goddess's Creation. I see the interdependency of the cosmos and all of its different species and resources. The universal life energy binds everything together in the cosmic whole, the rhyme and reason of my way at looking at it, the oneness of Nature and its accent on freedom of belief and religious (spiritual) practice. Thanks for your vision, Eileen.
Beautiful write, Eileen; let's put the Christ back into Christmas and remember the TRUE reason why we celebrate! Well done; brava!!

Exceptional is what I say about this heah sonnet. I like the rhyme, the premise, and of course its well-written message. Christmas. Bring it back. I walk through the mall here in my little town this morning and did not find one sigh ANYWHERE that said Christmas. This has to stop.
Oh, Eileen... Bless you. We need to hold on to that feeling all year round. This is such an uplifting piece, so full of hope and well being and in sonnet form to-boot! I love it. I love it. I love it.
Questions, unquestioned discoveries, and answers in parable and rhyme…. This collection records a journey starting with a 1960s retrospective and the first man on the moon, moving to a new millennium welcomed in with a terrorist spin, family crises,
