Wow. Eileen this is o perfect. Mango is the fruit I like best. In Mogadishu we now have the mango season and believe me we grow the best mango in the world. Every evening when I go back home i take several pieces and share it with the family. Unlike other fruits, conversation stops when mango eating starts. The silence won't be long. Everybody would be through in a few minutes.

There is just something about eating a mango...biting into it and tearing back the skin, then nibbling and sucking the fleshy fruit, taking care to catch all of the fragrant juices before they escape down your chin and onto your chest...that sweet peachy-melon flavor that satiates and satisfies like no other...yep, there is just something about eating a mango....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm LOL!

I have to do with the tattered palmetto fronds where I live. There are two such trees just a few yards from my door, what is left of the, Katrina almost destroyed 'em. Lovely poetry, lovely.
