Physical beauty just lies on the surface while moral beauty, which is reflected in the character of the person, is buried deep in the heart and soul. Wonderful poem. GBQ

The body's warmth is what we need be looking for. A warm inner fire is an entry vehicle that can travel with the one we have chemistry with. Vainess gives purchase to unhealthy selfishness and starves this type of personality on which it feeds to death. An ounce of inner beauty is worth more than tons of outer physical aesthetics. Admirable write, Eileen.

A perfect NINE, three times NINE = 27, = 9, plus an open circle to enter wisdom-Cosmos...
"Yes, All Is Still Vanity" through the eyes of the soul; but the eyes of the flesh can only take what is pleasant... (Poet You make me think!) -- and that could be the key to open the esoteric gates -- to find the BEAUTY inside the PLEASANT-PLEASURABLE forms.

I read "Yes, All Is Still Vanity", and am richer for that.

So true that physical beauty is only skin deep and that it is the lasting inner beauty that is the treasure we seek in a life companion...yet we are drawn to physical beauty, that part that other's can see and that feeds our ego through the envy of others. I never much cared for being arm jewelry for any man as I have always known that it is my inner strengths that are my greatest assets. How shallow we humans are and how untrue we are to ourselves when we choose a partner for their outward, physical characteristics. With that said, I must admit my own guilt in selecting "pretty mates" knowing from the start that there would never be a lasting connection and once I got over the physical lust, that the relationship would be done; I knowingly used those men for pumping up my ego. Sorry boys, but I have to admit, it was a lot of fun while it lasted...LOL!!

Limbo when I was a kid was a place where unbaptized infants went when they died also where the just went before Christ's coming. Limbo is now outdated as children who die without receiving baptism are considered receiving the baptism of desire and they go straight to heaven where all aborted babies go. Purgatory is where christians go to remove the remission of sins before they enter heaven. As usual Eileen you stir the imaginations of the reader. Great write.

My Mum always told me Limbo is where you go son to get purged of your sins, before they admit you to heaven
I reckon Limbo will be chock o block then Eileen !
