gentle whirlpool action in the hot tub has lulled me into an amorphous state I wait for you,I become entranced everything is so merged, soft lights, soft music, night sounds, muted inhaling foliage fragrance ambrosial the water is like silk caressing me caught in complaisant condition all seems to transcend earthly ties spiraling up into the heavens like an ethereal eddy ever evolving aloft where dreams are what they seem and reality is too real to contemplate choosing to close eyes so i don't see i want to discover what it is, to just be to just be~~
Just been like that in spa on cruise ship. IN with new friends and soaked up the sunshine on the deck along with the warmth of the water. I was so lucky to have opportunities many do not by going on the cruise. This is what I now think about when I see or hear the word Spa. iT STICKS IN MY MEMORIE FOR ALWAYS. sUCH A NICE TIME i HAD THAT WEEK. lIKE YOU SAID, i WAS JUST TO BE.

What spas are for, a place to relax, think and perhaps at times contemplate all that you find upsetting and unsettling. You have got me thinking now and I am just sitting in a chair. Bless you....
This is so soothing, Eileen, but it reminds me of once when I was drowning...after the panic, when acceptance took over, I slipped into a tranquil state the likes of which I had never known before or since. Though I was blessed to be plucked from the water by the Coast Guard, a part of me was saddened to leave that feeling and return to the reality of life. The sense of total surrender is something that is never present in our daily lives, but those trips to the spa certainly are a very close second. Gorgeous poem, sorry to mention what seems like a negative, though for me, it certainly was not that.

The only thing missing from this wonderful indulgence - a glass of wine. I do like the sound and feel of this spa. Kinda' like the old Calgon commercial 'take me away.'
