So many live in ignorance

Laugh and jest at deliverance

Think salvation is a joke

Misunderstand the holy yoke

Treat God like He is a fool

Like to think they're so cool

Claim brilliance reading books

Of God's bible won't take a look

Quote from all the worlds greats

Treat God's quotes with hate

They join together to deride

Anyone who takes God's side

Happy are they to sneer and chuckle

Claiming to God they'll never buckle

Until mortality shows its face

Then they cry out for His grace

They totally misunderstand what is sin

Thinking it's denial of all the good things

Afraid they have to give up their control

This thinking is what loses them their soul

God has one requirement to gain His favor

He asks us simply to make an endeavor

It is that we are to believe in Him

When we do our relationship will begin

Would they judge Plato, Freud,Voltaire

Having not read their books to compare

Some feel so wise their knowledge true

But of wisdom they haven't got a clue
