This morning when I awoke
the sun was shining bright
I would soon be out walking
my dog, to his great delight

The sun is a wondrous miracle
as is the human race, and the
fact that You lovingly gave us
pets, shows Your style and grace

Back  home having breakfast
I marvel at the variety
so many foods from which to
choose, in awe of your diversity

As I did some daily chores I
realized my mood was elevated
I was appreciating what we take
for granted, all You have created

In my car on the way to supermarket
I was enjoying my surroundings, Your
gift of nature so beautiful to behold
Your glorious Creation never grows old

I love you God, thankful my eyes can see
the enormity of all you have given me
for as long as I can see with thanksgiving
I shall join You one day in eternal living
